The Sama Sama Youth Workshop Series educates youth on relevant social, historical, and economic issues that are often neglected in traditional school curriculum.
By developing a greater understanding of these issues, our aim is to empower youth through various forms of expression, such as hip-hop, spoken word, dance, and visual art.
Sama Sama reaches out to high school and community youth in order to build strong interpersonal connections in a safe space that nurtures creative expression and personal growth.

Samasama Workshop #3 “Feminism and Patriarchy in Hip-hop” 7/9/11 Participants discussed the definition of Feminism and Patriarchy and analyzed the lyrics from twoHiphop songs (“U.N.I.T.Y” by Queen Latifah and “Best I ever Had” by Drake).
